Our philosophy

1998

PERLAMODA’s journey begins when its creator, Babis Gialtizoglou believes that it should be wiped out by the company that founded his father Spyros together with its partners, a compagny which produced high quality men’s shoes for Greece and other European brands such as Guy Laroche Paris & Bally Switzerland.

Based on the three components of his dna code : quality, style and inspiration from his former journey, he begins to create his first collection, knowing the importance of “100% handmade in Italy”.
Important for his start were his studies at Ars Sutoria in Milan as a stylist, and his subsequent training in established Italian factories from Marche to Riviera of Brenta.

1999

The 1st Flagship boutique is inaugurated at 27, Academias str., which is renamed PERLAPURA, emphasizing the importance of diversity. Special collections of men’s & women’s shoes and accessories are being hosted such as HENDERSON, ETRO, GALLIANO, COSTUME NATIONAL, ALBERTO GUARDIANI etc. Meanwhile PERLAMODA’s collection is evolving.

2007

The 2nd PERLAPURA boutique opens in Glyfada. Designed by the Italian architects of Studio Bordo of Padova, innovates with a plain product showcase, promoting its visitor in the interior so to come in contact with the products.

2010

In the neoclassical building of 4, Taki str. in Psirri Square (formerly Mecca of Shoemaking), PERLAMODA’s new Showroom is being created, which nowdays apart from the homonym collection, represents for Greece & Cyprus, the brands  BRIMARTS, BLAUER, CARMENS, COLMAR, CRIME LONDON, DEI COLLI, FRAU, JANET & JANET, PHILIPPE LANG and WHAT FOR.

The inexhaustible energy and passion for quality creation continues by offering you the way to show off your outfit and a unique “motto”:
